The owners of the Westbury have launched an all-day brasserie in the premises previously occupied by Connolly’s world-renowned leather shop, right next to the hotel itself. The Gallery’s kitchen is
fronted by head chef Brian Fantoni, formerly of Claridge’s, the menu offers an accessible run through informal European dishes in the modern vein, such as pork–pistachio terrine with
Italian lardo mustard fruits, John Dory with spelt-wheat salad tomato sauce vierge, slow-cooked brisket of veal with baby artichokes, fresh peas, celery lemon confit.
Decor-wise, expect Italian luxe with a touch of the 18th century: mirrored walls, gold chandeliers, velvet chairs and an intricate mosaic floor.
