The wonder of being a woman

Hello Ladies,

Sorry for my recent silence, I have been a very busy lady starting my own business.

My life experiences really got me thinking about what I wanted out of life and I came to the conclusion that I wanted to be in control of my own destiny and no longer wanted to be an employee.

So with the attitude of ‘what’s the worst that can happen? I am alive’, I decided to take the plunge and set up my own business.

I have am taking my many years of financial planning experience along with my life experiences and putting them into my business.

My brand is the Women’s Wealth Expert and I have decided to concentrate on giving high quality, down to earth financial advice to Women. Having been in this industry for many years, I have realised that there is a huge shortage of female financial planners and virtually none that specialise in looking after women.I have also realised that I have spent my entire career trying to be a man to fit into the man’s world that I found myself in, even dressing like one with pin stripe suits and shirts.

Since getting cancer I have realised that I need to embrace being a woman and it’s like a breath of fresh air.

I have found huge support and confidence in spending time with women and I have therefore decided to concentrate my business on looking after women.  Women view money differently to men and male financial planners don’t seem to grasp this. I have been told many times in the course of my networking and speaking with women that it is so refreshing to speak to a female financial planner who is down to earth and doesn’t make them feel stupid!

I am passionate about helping women to find financial freedom by helping them to grow and protect their wealth. Financial protection is an area that is particularly close to my heart, having been through cancer treatment with no financial protection and enduring the horrific stress about money on top of an already awful time. However, true financial planning is about taking a holistic view of whole situation. I am a pension specialist and can therefore help you to navigate your way through the minefield that is pensions and retirement planning as well as the many other important areas that need to be considered including school fees planning and tax planning.

Sadly, nearly 50% of marriages end in divorce and I can help you if you find yourself in this situation. I can work with your solicitor to help you understand the assets that you both have and ensure that you get a fair split, in particular helping you understand the pension assets, which can be difficult to understand. I can also help advise you post divorce. This is particularly important if you haven’t been involved in the day to day finances.

I will be completing the Resolution training to allow me to work with solicitors in mediation work and am looking to form strategic alliances with family lawyers.

So my ask of you ladies who are reading this, is please don’t keep me a secret. Do you or your friends or family need my help and advice? I would like to build a business through networking and word of mouth and your help would be much appreciated.
