Where to go for a spinning class near the office
The average person takes just 10 days to give up on their New Year resolutions. Luckily, thanks to spinning, you don’t have to be just an average person! Spinning is sociable and enjoyable way to get fit that means you’ll be sure to stick to your fitness plans for 2014.
Spin classes have proven very popular with city workers looking to stretch their legs and get the blood pumping after a long day stuck behind a desk. Take up spinning and before you know it you’ll be turning down that invitation for a post-work drink in favour of getting your sweat on in the gym, finally giving that Adidas sportswear you got for Christmas the use it deserves.
Spin classes are led by an instructor, so you can let someone else make the decisions for a change! It can be hard work initially but it gets the results without seeming like a chore. Spin instructors guide each class through a high-energy workout on specially designed bikes, accompanied by upbeat music designed to keep you going.
Varied routines and the motivational atmosphere mean that it’s hard to get bored with spinning. Most gyms offer spin classes, although some may have their own variations on the basic theme. They include RPM (designed to replicate an outdoor ride), V-Cycle (Virgin Active’s own classes) and SoulCycle, with candle-lit classes and extra motivation from the instructors.
Sound good? Then give one of these classes a go.
