The Business Data project lead is responsible for managing Business Data’s engagement with project and change initiatives impacting the department (whether led/sponsored by Business Data or where Business Data is one of many stakeholders)Specifically, the project lead is responsible for

  • Leading and managing projects and project streams for Business Data – in coordination with PPM resources where applicable
  • Performing analysis of the processes impacted by projects / change proposals
  • Identifying appropriate actions to be taken within Business Data (globally or regionally)to ensure all risks, issues and interdependencies are owned and mitigated
  • Developing a Business Data project roadmap defining Business Data’s deliverables
  • Tracking progress of each Business Data deliverables to completion
  • Directly and indirectly leading project resource to ensure successful delivery
  • Managing the program of stakeholder engagement and communication to ensure appropriate understanding of the impact of changes made within Business Data on the department’s stakeholders
  • Escalating issues identified in the delivery of projects / change initiatives (whether internal to Business Data or in relation to other departments) and proposing remediation options
  • Coordinating with other Business Data project leads in other regions the regional implementation of global projects (where required)
  • Defining tests to be done during User Acceptance Testing to satisfy Business Data requirements and coordinating UAT with the BAU team(s) where applicable
  • Ensuring that appropriate training is provided to the BAU teams to ensure operational readiness for new systems, processes and change
  • Coordinating with their regional Business Data BAU team the implementation of new projects, tasks, process changes into standard BAU processes
  • Reviewing go-live implementation and providing together with local Business Data manager final signoff of that all changes are appropriately supported by BAU team

The project lead is also expected to

  • Contribute expert knowledge to Business Data and enterprise wide projects
  • Contribute to the skill and development of Business Data team members
  • Support the BAU team when they encounter technical issues
  • Deliver of high quality documentation for new systems, changes and processes (where required)
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of key program/project deliverables
  • Act as the regional liaison over project issues
  • Develop and enforce standard project governance and project reporting for Business Data

Operational Risk & Regulatory Responsibility;

  • Responsibility for ensuring that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal Policies that relate to you, your business or other businesses for which you have any level of responsibility.   • Observe proper standards of market conduct. Responsibility to ensure that you take reasonable steps to be fully aware of, understand and comply with all regulatory requirements from all regulatory bodies that are applicable to your business.


  • Experience within brokerage industry
  • SME within static data function
  • Project management experience (beneficial)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to show initiative and manage workflow of department
  • Good I.T skills, Excel, Access
  • Knowledge of Murex system, highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Kondor desirable
  • Ability to work within a multi culture, diverse demanding environment
