Morgan Stanley is an industry leader in the Equity Swaps business with flexible technology and stability being key differentiators. The team is responsible for managing all aspects of the production environment ensuring a high quality of service to clients, traders and back office functions. As well as solving production issues the team works closely with the development team and business on projects to further the capacity, efficiency and stability of the plant.

There are numerous technologies within, and connected to the Equity Swaps plant making the role both challenging and interesting. A strong background in trading system support essential. The team interacts with traders, operations and controllers, developers and other support teams on a daily basis so you must enjoy working with a wide variety of people and be adaptable to the different challenges this presents.

As a member of the team you will be involved with all aspects of production management where stability and first class client service is vital. You must thrive on working in a high pace, dynamic environment contributing to a very successful business.

Skills required

  • Linux / Unix and Sybase / DB2 or similar
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Strong self-motivation and a desire for excellence
  • Strong understanding of trading floor technology and business.
  • Scripting skills in Perl, shell or similar

Desirable Skills / Experience 

  • An equity swaps or derivatives background would be advantageous
