Executive Assistant to Group General Counsel/Company Secretary
This role will challenge you to show real initiative and the ability to interpret fast moving situations – and to respond accordingly. Supporting two of our business leaders you will need to be adept and insightful in managing a variety of situations in a smooth and seamless manner. You’ll be joining a large and complex business that is both growing and profitable (we floated a year ago and consequently became a FTSE 100 organisation) so you’ll be joining a winning team.
How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?
You’ll be the ‘right-hand’ (and sometimes the left hand also!) for our Group General Counsel and Company Secretary. This will involve some of the traditional tasks that you’d expect from the job: booking travel, in-box and diary management, collating Board packs, meeting logistics and coordination etc. It will also require you to develop an appreciation of the different tasks that arise in order that you can help to prioritise effectively, provide guidance where appropriate and to take ownership where possible. Working collaboratively and persuasively with a group of Board EA’s you will help maintain a drama-free climate.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
You will be an experienced professional EA with a background of working for and with ExCo or Board level stakeholders. You will have worked in a large, complex, international business and be familiar with the challenges that this can present. You must be confident that you can support two Executive Team members, adapting your approach to suit their individual needs and personalities. Of more importance will be your confidence, assuredness, flexibility, excellent communication skills and strength of character.
