To manage a team responsible for the delivery of research projects and thought leadership reports relating to insurance innovation arising from emerging risks. The successful candidate will create publications of approximately six commercially focused emerging risks reports per year, represent Lloyd’s on forums related to emerging risks, deliver external communications, especially public speaking, to promote Lloyd’s work on emerging risks, be responsible for the delivery of the annual ClimateWise reporting process’Soft lobbying’ activities such as engagement with key external stakeholders on issues relating to emerging risks, maintain a horizon scanning process designed to identify emerging risks and collate knowledge on them and support other Corporation teams through provision of knowledge/connections on emerging risks.


The successful candidate will need experience in project/programme management: oversee the management of specific projects and ensure overall delivery of the emerging risks research programme, good presentation skills comfortable speaking in front of large audience if necessary (>300), skills in written English: ability to generate and edit material to be published as Lloyd’s thought leadership reports, be able to produce risk analysis/assessment, be able to apply research to improve the understanding of risk, be able to provide evidence of managing projects, have a curiosity for improving the understanding of all types of risk relevant to the Lloyd’s market and the ability to quickly understand new issues and to condense this into well reasoned risk reports.
