The Manager, Software Engineering will provide technical leadership and people management for an engineering team for the industry-leading API Gateway product.

About the Role:
- In this role, you’ll help support CA Technologies charter to transform the IT industry by:
- Oversee day-to-day development activities for an Agile API Gateway team
- Identify and track metrics that can be used to ensure objectives are met and recommend process improvements.
- Determine and recommend methods to streamline and improve development processes and procedures.
- Determine critical priorities and monitor and control the activities and performance of staff to achieve those objectives.
- Assign or reallocate duties to team members to meet various workload pressures and variations where necessary.
- Ensure team members understand and adhere to corporate policies and procedures. May perform Principal, Software Engineering responsibilities if necessary
How You’ll Stand Out:
The perfect candidate for this role will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility over the course of their career. He/she will have an outstanding track record and reputation for advising senior leaders on strategic initiatives within the IT industry. An ideal background will include:
- 7+ years’ experience in software development including enterprise software development, ideally with a strong background in Java
- 2+ years’ experience in a leadership and management at a medium-large software company, with a track record of effective collaborative leadership by example and empowerment
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
