Warwick Business School hosts WeAreTheCity’s 2022 Rising Star award winners

In July 2022 WeAreTheCity celebrated 116 winners of their Rising Star awards, powered by RBC at the Pan Pacific Hotel. The Rising Star winners span 20 different industries and include senior champions, male allies, global champions of women’s equality and representatives from companies who are truly pushing for gender parity within their organisations. All these winners were recognised for their outstanding achievements in the workplace and for their external efforts to pay it forward to others.

The Rising Star awards are not just about recognising individuals for one night.  WeAreTheCity work with a number of partners to continue to support our winners throughout the following year by providing networking and educational opportunities and by encouraging our winners to inspire children in schools with their personal stories.  Our current career development partners include, Founders4Schools, CMI and Warwick Business School.

On 29 September, WeAreTheCity’s 2022 Rising Stars attended their first engagement at Warwick Business School. This knowledge day provided our winners with the opportunity to connect and build relationships with their fellow winners and to learn from the amazing professors at WBS.

Our knowledge day took place at Warwick’s London campus, which is based at the iconic Shard right in the heart of the City of London. The Rising Stars were treated to incredible hospitality, stunning views and a morning of keynote sessions which included building innovative capabilities in a fast-changing world, and why hybrid working is about more than flexibility. In the afternoon, we held a team building exercise with the Audax Generation who spoke about being audacious and how audacity gives you the potential to re-imagine what is possible, followed by keynotes from Rising Star alumni Shweta Singh and Tribeni Chougule about human biases through AI and how your curious mind can be a weapon for your career success.

The day concluded with additional networking.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the team at Warwick Business School.
