We are extremely proud to announce our winners for WeAreTheCity India’s Top 50 Rising Star Awards 2017.

The 50 winners showcases remarkable talent across India from a wide variety of industries and includes individuals from leading firms such as BlackRock, EY, Barclays and Marks and Spencer alongside founders of NGO’s, Charity workers and business owners.

The awards also celebrate our five Champions, all of which have been championing gender equality inside and outside of their organisations. We are also proud to announce the winner of our public vote and WeAreTheCity India’s first Man of the Year.

The awards, sponsored by Barclays, will now be celebrated on 9 November 2016 at an awards ceremony in Mumbai for winners, guests and sponsors.

Empower Female Founders is a unique event designed by female founders for female founders, offering a accessible platform for practical support and real-world advice. This initiative focuses on empowering a strong mindset and building confidence amongst 100 female founders.

Equipping them with the tools needed to overcome challenges and achieve success in their entrepreneurial journeys.By providing a supportive community and sharing experiences, Empower Female Founders aims to empower women to redefine their potential, amplify their impact, and thrive in their sector.

In May 2025 we will welcome 100 female founders to this one of a kind event in Manchester.

Empower Female Founders is far from your traditional conference set up. We’ve spoken to our community of Female Founders and we know what’s needed is practical action, answers to the important questions and to gain knowledge from those who have been there and done it.

The day will be built around fast-paced workshop sessions and collaboration providing the opportunity not just to learn but to connect with female founders sharing the same journey.

Our focus is on building confidence, developing a growth mindset, and providing a supportive community that empowers women to overcome challenges and achieve success.

Panels, Workshops and Collaboration

The day will be built around panels featuring Female Founders sharing what’ it’s really like to be a Female Founder, an opportunity to ask fellow Female Founders for their advice as industry experts, celebrating and reframing the narrative around success and ambition.

There will also be an Action learning workshop on Growth Mindset led by Empower Co Founder Beckie Taylor and a fast-paced knowledge share sessions providing the opportunity not just to learn but to connect with female founders sharing the same journey.

All the information you should have got from your midwife about how to recover your pelvic floor PROPERLY after having a baby and how to exercise SAFELY so you can smile with excitement and enjoy the moment when your toddler takes your hand and pulls you towards the bouncy castle instead of the feeling of dread taking over as you decline their invitation.

This workshop is for you if……..

You are a mum who;

Wants dry knickers!
Feels like the pelvic floor information you got in your postnatal period was lacking.
Knows your pelvic floor isn’t quite right but doesn’t really understand what is going on with it.
Wants to feel connected to your Pelvic Floor again and confidently jump on a trampoline with your children.
Wants to strengthen your pelvic floor but doesn’t know where to start.
Is ready to start exercise again in the near future but doesn’t know how to whilst considering your pelvic floor.
Is doing the pelvic floor squeezes the midwife gave you but doesn’t really know if you are doing them right, when you can stop doing them or what to do next.
Wants to learn about your pelvic floor so you can understand what is happening for yourself.

What to expect

I will be there LIVE on zoom in actual person to spend time with you and other mums learning about your body and how to get it strong after having a baby.
This is not a workout class. This is me empowering you will all of the information you need to recovery your body properly and exercise safely. If you would like to try an exercise class – head here.
You will get a link sent to your email address so you can join the workshop live.
There will be a replay sent to you after the workshop encase you can’t make it live or encase you have to deal with a poonarmi mid workshop.
Expect to have your MIND BLOWN with information you wished you’d had years ago.

By the end of the workshop you will….

Feel super confident that you are doing the pelvic floor squeezes (kegels) the midwife gave you correctly and know what the next steps are to making your pelvic floor strong so you don’t end up having to kegel for the rest of your life.
Learn that there are two sets of muscles in your pelvic floor (One set at the back of your pelvic floor and one at the front) and learn how to use both sets of muscles. It is common that women do not connect with the muscles around their urethra (where you pee from) during pelvic floor connection. Don’t let this be you.
Know how and why to engage your pelvic floor on your out breath so you can exercise without worrying about your pelvic floor.
Feel confident about what you need to do whilst you exercise to look after your pelvic floor. So you can stop worrying about exercise and start to look forward to building your pelvic floor and your body strong.
Have a plan of what to do next time you cough, laugh, sneeze to help your pelvic floor manage the pressure and stop letting pee out.
