When ‘Friends’ Steal….

Option 1I am just about catching up on Naomi’s story this week (I’ve been busy canvassing the scene after the end of a huge huge project), and I must honestly say that I am beyond livid!!! The fact that she got betrayed by the girl that she put on the map, makes me superbly furious!!

It may have been that the whole relationship between Vladimir and Naomi was way over before thief Luo Zilin and Vladimir became an item, but for what’s worth, girl, you do not go after the man (or ex) of the woman who made you?! Damn! No, No , No!!

I may be feeling this way because apparently, I play ‘kumbaya’ all the time! By this I mean,  I always do a ‘we’ analysis, consider all angles and others before I act, whilst most folks are more  like ‘me’, ‘me’, ‘me’, which is to say, that most folks will worry more for themselves than anything!  Lou Zilin!!

I guess this same behaviour , i.e. the me, me , me way of life would be the reason why Wendi Deng, would betray the then Joyce Cherry, the very same woman who with her then husband, Jake Cherry sponsored Ms Deng’s student visa to study in California in 1998. The story (see BBC News) goes that months after being in the States, Ms Deng went ahead to be Mrs Cherry!! Ahh bless..

Don’t confuse me to be a self righteous so and so because I am pointing fingers at bad dating behaviour!  Far from it! For although I haven’t had the courage to ‘steal’ from anyone ,  I guess I have allowed myself to be ‘stolen’ before! You see, some time back, say, way back, I switched between two friends, and caused a big drift between them! I started dating a really nice guy and all was going well. He made the mistake of bringing his friend along on  a date, his friend appeared  more fun to be with so I ended up with his friend instead (Naomi, take note). I honestly didn’t think anything of it, but what occurred between me and the friend of my date,  brought a big drift between the two guys!! And it still is a big thing between them as they talk about it between themselves and independently when I meet them. Yes, I am still friends (really good friends) with each of them too..  🙂

So you see,  I’m simply a recovering bad ass, who now knows and should know better, learnt from the horrors of love and life and now hoping to have a better experience this time around !

-With my love

About the author

AWiseGirl.com was created to test out a new phenomenon!! We hear of countless stories where women (and many women around the world) go on a date, maybe once or twice…. get to know the guy and then as soon as she makes up her mind that this is the guy that she would like to have in her life… the guy suddenly turns cold towards her!!! Sounds familiar? What happened? How did this nice guy who was pursuing you countlessly suddenly turned cold the moment you started to show an interest in him? Why did he change his attitude? Why did he stopped calling, stopped texting, cancelled the date (with an excuse— I’m sick! and never called back)
