In a evening of glitz and glamour, the 2015 Women in Logistics Awards acknowledged and celebrated the work of exceptional women in the logistic field.
Women in Logistics UK aims to address, support and advice those women working in sector and promote a wider diversity. Created in 2008, they have over 4,000 members and provide a base for networking with like-minded individuals
Winners of the night included:
- Carole Woodhead, CEO at Hermes – Leader of the Year, sponsored by Kuehne+Nagel
- Lieutenant Charlotte Edwards, RLC – Rising Star of the Year, sponsored by BiS Henderson
- Helen Diksa, HR Director at Royal Mail – Diversity Champion of the Year, sponsored by Hays
- Royal Logistic Corps – Company of the Year, sponsored by the Forton Group
Clare Bottle, Women in Logistics Vice-Chair said of the evening, “Whether it’s delivering millions of parcels during the Christmas Peak or leading a mission to tackle ebola in Sierra Leone, logistics careers offer an amazing array of challenges and theses awards highlight the opportunities of women to excel.
