Yay…! No More Sandles!

I think there was a little part of all of us who rejoiced as the cold weather descended. No longer must we brave through the sunny yet freezing London conditions. We are officially allowed to wear a coat without being looked upon as mad, and it’s only a matter of weeks till the Eggnog latte is available in Starbucks! Its official….Autumn is upon us!

This means a few special things. London fashion week is looming, the Christmas beauty collections are soon to be launched, and the fake tanning must commence!

I’ve decided to round up the autumn ‘Hot List’. For an insight to the up and coming trends, skin must haves, and the new products to keep us looking as fab as we did arriving home from our summer holiday.

Nars can do no wrong – The underdog of the beauty brands. Not as well-known as Mac, yet stunning products and a loyal following! Nars were seen backstage at many of NY fashion week shows including Joy Cioci – Frosted blue shadow giving the 80s a serious for their money! Their Fall collection features deep burgundy matte lip shades and warm orange cheek colours which look great on any skin tone. Perfect for taking you up to…dare I say it…Christmas!

Taupe Nails – Again been all over the catwalks! Perfect for combining with all the gorgeous autumn fashion tones which are starting to be seen. Try this in a Gelish manicure to combine 2 of the hottest nail trends of the moment! Gelish of course lasts approximately 3 weeks and is the best option for the woman on the go. No chipping, no peeling and most importantly no drying time needed. If you prefer to DIY your nails OPI ‘Berlin There Done That’ is perfect.

Vita Liberata Phenomenal – I was fortunate enough to be sent what I can only describe as a miracle. Someone out there answered our prayers and created a fake tan that lasts ‘2-3’ weeks. I was a little dubious as I am far from a tanning amateur and considered this crazy but it works. The concept is simple. The more layers you apply, both the richer the tan and the longer it lasts. Of course I went straight in the deep end and applied three layers. Sure enough 2 and half weeks later despite the colour have faded a little I was not at all patchy. So ladies….No excuses! Available in Boots and in a range of tones.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream – An oldie but a goodie! A must have product for every woman, especially as the weather gets colder. Perfect for protecting and conditioning the lips, hands, nails and cuticles. A tip of mine is to apply a thin layer over your moisturiser over night as a treatment. Your skin will thankyou!

YSL Forever Youth Liberator Serum – Using quite literally the newest technologies on the market, this serum delivers! Containing Glycanactif complex, it helps stimulates the skins youth capacities on all 3 layers of the skin. From first use the skin is visibly brighter and luminous. Having been using the serum daily since January, my skintone has dramatically improved and I feel I should spread the word!
