This dissatisfaction and disconnection from life lead her down the personal development route. Kitty has launched Kitty Talks in April 2017: Her podcast is a social enterprise with the mission ‘to inspire a generation of change-makers to follow their passion and purpose and make a difference on the planet.’ https://kittytalks.com/welcome

Tell us a bit about yourself, background and your current role

Transformational Teacher and founder of the top Itunes Podcast Kitty Talks. I interview thought leaders around the world, sharing their transformational journey’s encouraging others to step into their greatness. I am launching my Do Your Dharma course in May a step by step guide to finding and following your purpose and creating a life so good you will pinch yourself.

Did you ever sit down and plan your career?

At the age of twenty eight the near suicide of my mother shifted everything for me, from that point on I started following what lit me up, I had a passion for personal development helping others and now I teach others to follow their passions its like a compass to your purpose.

Have you faced any challenges along the way and if so, how did you deal with them?

In my twenties I ignored my soul and my intuition and consequently had a nervous breakdown and addiction problems. Once I started to listen to my soul it all transformed.

On a typical workday, how does you start your day and how does it end?

I get up at 5.30 meditate for 30mins, I then journal and talk to my soul asking her what I should be doing for the day. From there a cup of tea and out with the pups for an hour before going to the gym. It’s so funny writing this now as my life is unrecognisable from 15 years ago I would have been coming home at 5.30am.

I work till lunch take the dogs for another walk and then do some more work in the afternoon I am writing a book and creating a course so never a dull moment when my husband returns from work we meditate again before dinner. We don’t watch tv just read so we are usually tucked up in bed for 9 as we get up so early.

How do you feel about mentoring? Have you ever had a mentor or do you mentor anyone?

I think it is imperative we can speed up transformation this way. I am doing it on a larger scale with my DYD course I knew I could reach more people via the internet. We all have a purpose and once we start to get on our soul path life opens up for us and everything changes – this is available for everyone.

If you could change one thing for women in the workplace, what would it be?

To encourage them to stay in their feminine and teach them that they don’t have to become men to be successful. I fell into this trap horribly when I worked in the City – it took me along time to discover my feminine side.

You’ve recently been made chair of My Sister’s House – tell us more about this initiative and your role?

My Sisters house is a local women’s charity they help women who maybe affected by domestic violence or drug and alcohol abuse get back on their feet. My role is to help support the founders vision and make it come to fruition.

What has been your biggest achievement to date?

I was a shareholder in a company that sold for 52million in the City but I would say my biggest achievement is following my little voice and starting Kitty Talks – we have had over 10,000 downloads and people write to me all the time saying it helped them follow their dreams.

What is your next challenge and what are you hoping to achieve in the future?

I have so many things I want to do, children, books, release my DYD course. Everyday follow my highest excitement and know that life is happening through me and wait to see what amazing things unfold.
