Emma Shute | Founder, Coach & Director, Women to Work Ltd

“I have worked with Emma on and off for a few years now and can’t recommend her highly enough. She’s incredibly talented – empathetic, professional, an excellent listener, discreet where needed and utterly focused on reaching the agreed objective of our sessions. Emma’s helped me both with work and personal dilemmas….Thank you Emma for all your on-going support. With your help I feel like my life’s going where I want it to.”

Jenny and I love what we do and feel so proud to be able to work with a range of people through our programmes, workshops and one to one coaching, supporting them to create fulfilling personal and professional lives.

My passion is to support my clients to find the confidence and strength to make decisions that are right for them, helping them to understand themselves, who they are at their best and what really matters to them, so they feel empowered to create and live the life of their choosing.

I aim to create a space where my clients feel supported and listened to, where I can help them to make sense of where they are and to put plans in place to achieve their aspirations, helping them to identify what may be holding them back and challenging limiting beliefs, internal self-talk and mind-set. I also have a special interest in building resilience. My clients appreciate and value my gentle, empathetic, and supportive approach and I always aim to put my clients at ease as I work with them to develop their personal and unique plan for the future.

Both myself and Jenny are experienced and qualified coaches and have a range of business and life experience that, alongside setting up and running Women to Work since 2014 includes having worked in a self-employed capacity and commercial corporate experience to senior management level as well as strong academic knowledge in the field of coaching and mentoring. Having studied the MSc in Organisational Change and Consultancy Programme – Coaching and Mentoring at Sheffield Hallam University I achieved the Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring and I also hold a 1st Class BSc (hons) in Management Sciences (Loughborough University) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (Nottingham Trent University). Jenny and I are both members of the Association for Coaching and the EMCC and engage in regular continued professional development and supervision.

I have broad coaching experience through one to one coaching with individual and organisational clients who come with varied motivations, a range of backgrounds and work life situations; through designing and delivering group coaching workshops covering a range of topics; through having designed and delivered coach / mentor training and through having worked with clients in both the public and private sector across varied industries including the Fire and Rescue Sector, the Energy Sector and the Tech Industry, as well as Universities.

Away from my wonderful work life you’ll find me in the outdoors with my family and dog, practising yoga or rehearsing and performing in a musical or with my vocal trio.

I hope you will love coaching as much as I do! I am happy to chat through my coaching and approach if that would be helpful, just email [email protected] and we can arrange a call.

“Working with Emma from Women to Work was very positive and empowering. She is a skillful and sensitive listener and I found her warm and thoughtful manner very supportive. She enabled me to explore a lot of ground and her knowledge, experience and expertise meant she was able to draw useful deductions and offer insights and perspectives that resulted in clear forward steps. As a woman business owner it was affirming to feel emotionally and mentally seen and understood.”
