WeAreTheCity has confirmed that nominations for the 2026 Rising Star Awards will open in one week, marking the start of the programme’s twelfth year.
The opening of nominations signals the beginning of a new awards cycle. It celebrates excellence across individual, advocacy and organisational categories. The Rising Star Awards recognise outstanding women across multiple industry-specific categories. They also celebrate Champions of gender equality, Men for Gender Balance and companies committed to improving gender balance in the workplace. Together, these categories reflect the many ways individuals and organisations are driving meaningful progress.
What to expect when nominations open
From 27 January 2026, you can submit nominations via the Rising Star Awards website. This gives nominators time to gather examples of impact and contribution.
Self-nominations are welcome. You can also nominate colleagues, peers, clients and organisations whose work deserves recognition.
An independent judging panel will review each nomination.
Winners will be announced on 20 May 2026. The programme will invite all winners to celebrate their achievement at the Rising Star Awards Ceremony on 8 July 2026 in London.
