Nominations for the 2026 Rising Star Awards have now officially closed, marking the next stage in this year’s programme as submissions move forward to the judging panel.

Hosted by us at WeAreTheCity, the Rising Star Awards have spent more than a decade celebrating women who are making a meaningful contribution within their organisations and industries. Over eleven years the awards have become recognised for highlighting individuals at a pivotal moment in their careers, recognising influence, impact and leadership potential rather than job titles alone.

Each year the programme shines a light on the talent, advocacy and commitment that often happens behind the scenes in workplaces across the UK. The 2026 nominations once again captured the stories of individuals and organisations working to improve gender balance and support inclusive cultures across multiple sectors.

Recognising talent and advocacy

The Rising Star Awards celebrate excellence across a wide range of categories. Alongside recognising outstanding women across industry-specific roles, the programme also highlights the people and organisations supporting change.

Every nomination received this year represents a story of contribution and dedication. From early career professionals driving innovation to allies advocating for better workplace culture, the programme continues to reflect the many ways people are helping to move equality forward.

Celebrating the next generation of leaders

The Rising Star Awards continue to recognise individuals who are already making an impact in their organisations and industries. Many past winners were nominated by colleagues or mentors who recognised their contribution early and ensured their work received the recognition it deserved.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to submit a nomination this year. Each entry helps shine a light on the people and organisations working to create more inclusive workplaces and stronger professional communities.

As the judging process begins, the focus now turns to celebrating the individuals and organisations whose work continues to drive progress across workplaces and industries.

Finalists will be announced soon… good luck everyone.
