WeAreTheCity identified as one of the 50 brightest and most innovative companies in Essex

WeAreTheCity has been identified as one of 50 brightest and most innovative small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Essex.

The Innovation 50 list is compiled by the Essex Innovation Programme (EIP) and Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), as part of a joint three-year business project.

The 50 SMEs in Essex were chosen for demonstrating fast growth, or growth potential, and innovation.

Innovation 50 companies will receive support and guidance from the Essex Innovation Programme, academic expertise from Anglia Ruskin University, publicity coverage and an Innovation 50 kitemark.

Cllr Kevin Bentley, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and Partnerships, Essex County Council, said: “This initiative has shown that Essex is true a hotbed for innovation and entrepreneurship with a huge range of businesses, all of them ripe for development and poised for growth”.

Vanessa Vallely, Managing Director of WeAreTheCity said “We are so honoured to be recognised as one of the fastest growing and innovative businesses in Essex and to receive the Innovation 50 kitemark.”

“We are really excited to leverage the support and expertise offered by the programme and to be associated with so many other thriving businesses in the local area.”

“Through our offices in Essex we support over 60,000 women who wish to progress in their careers and over 100 leading organisations, helping them to develop, attract and retain their female talent. Our presence in both the UK and India is rapidly expanding and the support from the Essex Innovation Programme couldn’t have come at a better time”.

The list also included, Colchester Zoo, Birkett Long LLP and the English Cream Tea company.
