Ania is a partner at Simmons & Simmons in the Corporate team in London and heads up the Private Markets group. She joined the firm as a trainee in 2003.
She advises on a variety of corporate matters and has a particular focus on the asset management sector, advising alternative investment managers on all aspects of their business, including “start-ups”, general operational day-to-day matters and ever-increasing M&A in the sector.
Ania features in The Hedge Fund Journal’s 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds and was also listed as a rising star, new generation M&A partner by Legal Week when she first became a partner.
She is the firm’s Gender Balance partner. In that role, she is focussed on working with the firm on attracting and retaining diverse talent.
Ania has been a member of the firm’s gender network since its inception over 15 years ago and was its co-chair for over 8 years. Whilst co-chair, the network was rebranded and evolved from an internal focussed committee, to one which also collaborates extensively with clients and other stakeholders.
Ania was on The Law Society working group that worked on introducing The Women in Law Pledge.
Ania is also on the Simmons & Simmons board and is a trustee of the Simmons & Simmons Charitable Foundation.
Outside of work, Ania is co-chair of governors at her local primary school.
