Emma Wright leads the tech, data and digital team at law firm Harbottle and Lewis.
Her team cover the whole range of commercial technology and data protection commercial and regulatory issues for suppliers of all sizes and public and private sector customers both in the UK and internationally. She especially focuses on transactional and regulatory counsel on cyber, digital infrastructure and AI. Emma has won several awards for both her legal practice and her approach to leadership and she is a UNESCO Global Expert without Borders on AI regulation. She is listed on the 100 Brilliant Women in AI and Ethics and has featured in the Computer Weekly Top 20 Most Influential Women in Tech for several years for her work at the Interparliamentary Forum on Emerging Technologies which she co-founded with Darren Jones MP and where she remains a Director. Emma co-founded investHER earlier this year and successfully led the strategy and campaign pro bono that achieved the reversal of the Financial Promotion Orders legislation that disproportionately impacted female and other underrepresented founders due to the Gender Pay Gap. She is now working with UNESCO Women4EthicalAI to look at structural barriers to female investment globally.
