Anna Whitehouse is a journalist, editor, Heart radio presenter and mother, turned Flexible Working Campaigner. Her hugely successful podcast, Dirty Mother Pukka, airs the dirty laundry of it’s brilliant guests in the most straight-talking, gritty and hilarious way possible.

She was included in the Telegraph’s ‘Time Wise top 50 Power List’ in 2019. Anna is the author of ‘Parenting the Sh*t of out of Life,’ which was followed by an abstract look at modern day relationships, aptly titled ‘Where’s My Happy Ending’. After looking for a change in pace and a platform on which to share parenthood trials and tribulations, Mother Pukka was born. Mother Pukka is a portal for news, events and honest reviews. Anna actively campaigns for flexible working and recently hosted a TEDx Talk on the subject. She lives in London with her husband, otherwise known as Papa Pukka, and their two children Mae and Eve.

What one action would you like to see organisations, or the government take to drive gender equity?

Flexible working from day one for everyone. By default. So the onus is on the employer to prove why it wouldn’t work not on the employee to prove why it would.
