Trailblazer Montage 2023

This year, WeAreTheCity are proud to publish their Top 50 Trailblazers in Gender Equity.

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2023 we are shining a light on the tireless efforts of 50 incredible individuals.

Our 2023 trailblazers are responsible for several campaigns that will have a significant impact for gender equity. They have used their voices to raise awareness of key issues that women and men face both in society and in the workplace that will impact our ability to achieve gender equity. They have built communities for the under-represented and created spaces where women from different backgrounds can thrive. They have used their own personal platforms to champion gender equity and opened their networks so that others can make connections and feel supported. They have spearheaded and driven campaigns that raise awareness around gendered health and well-being issues, pay inequality as well as women’s rights. They have given their time and expertise freely to charities and social enterprises that are driving gender equity, often below the radar and without any desire to be recognised for their efforts.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank every single one of these changemakers, role models and trailblazers for making the world a more gender equal place. We look forward to welcoming them for a celebratory lunch towards the end of March at HSBC.

Trailblazer50 Lunch 2023

WeAreTheCity celebrates its Top 50 Trailblazers in Gender Equity at HSBC

WeAreTheCity and HSBC had the privilege of celebrating some of the most inspiring and accomplished individuals in the UK for the 2023 Trailblazer50 lunch.

The event took place at HSBC HQ, with over 70 attendees which included this year’s trailblazers and our previous trailblazer award winners. Our attendees gathered over drinks, making connections and working out ways in which they can support each other’s initiatives. The energy in the room was magnificent, each winner eager to share their passion for change, in their experiences, and share their passion for making a difference in the world.

Change takes courage and commitment. The Trailblazer50 list is full of people who are making a real difference in our community and furthering our collective goal of equality and inclusion. We applaud the recipients and congratulate them on the impact they’re making.
