For anyone that would like to better understand the impact of menopause on ADHD & Autism whether you are self discovered/ diagnosed.

ADHD, Autism & Perimenopause – what’s the connection?

Whether you are a late discovered / diagnosed Autistic and/or ADHD woman or suspect that you might be and would like to better understand the relationship between perimenopause and these types of neurodivergence, then this session is for you.

Many women are realising later in life that they are neurodivergent as a result of hitting perimenopause and others that already know, can find this time particularly challenging. Understanding the whys behind can really help with having self compassion and finding the right support tools for us.

What we will cover:

  • Important statistics around ADHD, Autism & menopause
  • Real life stories – I will share my experience of being a late diagnosed ADHD & Autistic woman in perimenopause
  • Key hormones in perimenopause & menopause and how they impact the brain
  • How these types of neurodivergent traits differ in women and how they can show up in perimenopause
  • Consider some coping strategies and tools that can help
  • Look at the positives of self discovery / diagnosis
  • Signposting for support
  • Q&A’s

One third of the ticket sales will go to Spark community space charity & one third will go to Hormones on the blink C.I.C to help fund future community projects.

Neurodiversity & hormones survey

We are looking to capture how hormonal changes / fluctuations, impact neurodivergent traits and if these have been related to self identification / seeking a diagnosis. We would love to hear from you whether you have just noticed differences in your traits at different points in your cycle, have hormonal conditions such as PMDD or are in perimenopause. Please use the following link to access the survey.

She is passionate about raising awareness of perimenopause & menopause particularly in the workplace and local community. She believes that having access to the right information and tools before perimenopause would allow people to have a more positive experience and it would reduce the impact both personally and professionally.
