Well done London! : Olympics opening ceremony wins Emmy Award 2013

emmy awards 2013Well it’s a congratulations to Danny Boyle and the entire cast of London for winning an Emmy this morning at the Annual Emmy Awards 2013 for Outstanding Art Direction For Variety Or Nonfiction Programming.

Presenting the dual award for Best Art Direction in a Variety Show (London Olympic Games and Saturday Night Live), presenter Rupert Friend joked that the art direction team for the Olympics couldn’t be here because they were busy “putting flowers by the road where the Kris Jenner show taped.”

The whole of London who supported and gave everyone a performance inside and outside of the stadium

We say, well done to us all and to Mr Boyle for making such a introduction of London to the world (again). It is great for such a ceremony to be recognised globally in our books. We should all be proud.
