Have you looked in the mirror before going into work and felt like you’re not good enough?

Nervous business womanDo you feel like your appearance is being judged by your colleagues, possibly even your friends?
Are you on your guard wondering what they may be thinking about you?

You may be wearing a designer suit, fashionable shoes and have the handbag to match, but something is missing.

Nobody wants to talk about it, no one dares to reveal any weakness. You want to be taken seriously for your work and to have high standards, but at what cost?

Be proud of who you are and live by your values and beliefs, no one else’s.

The relentless pressure of appearing immaculately dressed, being slim and perfectly preened can lead to huge insecurities. Obsessive thoughts can begin that play on your mind and may distract you from your role. These can leave you feeling negative, drained and can even affect your mental health.

If you are honest with yourself are you in denial of who you really are?

It feels good to be accepted by others, but is that temporary fix worth the detrimental effect on your confidence, self-esteem and possibly the progression in your career?

There is nothing wrong with dressing to feel good, but it has to be for the right reasons.

Who are you dressing for? How would you feel if all of your materialistic possessions were suddenly taken away?

A common trait that the majority of successful people have is the confidence and courage to be themselves. They will hold their head high, knowing that they show congruence at all times.

  • It’s time to stop comparing yourself to others. There is no one else in this world who can take your place.
  • Be proud of who you are and live by your values and beliefs, no one else’s.
  • Tell yourself now that you do not need to conform to other peoples standards or to compete in the silent ‘best dressed’ competition that happens as you enter the office each morning.

As your Body Confidence increases you will feel a stronger presence in the boardroom and client meetings. You will own your opinion and know that your voice is worthy of being heard.

You will assertively behave like a leader and command respect in your role, for all the right reasons.

By changing the way you see, and feel about, yourself it will give you the power to authentically reflect this with your appearance.

There is so much pressure on women to be everything to everyone, it’s time to stop being afraid of showing who you really are. Being true to yourself will build internal walls of confidence that will ripple into every area of your life.

Only then will you find that missing piece.
