Join us as we celebrate the vision and creativity of African changemakers who are reshaping global culture.

The RSA and the Africa Centre are teaming up to spotlight innovators driving social change through their cultural contributions.

At the RSA in Black History Month, we’ll explore how these emerging leaders are influencing global conversations and challenging traditional narratives, paving the way for a more inclusive and dynamic cultural landscape.

We will discuss how to amplify the impact of African culture on the global stage and consider ways we can foster deeper connections between cultural institutions and the changemakers leading this transformation.

Baby Loss Awareness Week culminates with the global “Wave of Light” on 15th October, which is also a globally recognised event.

We invite you to join other families across the world by lighting a candle at 7pm local time and leaving it burning for at least one hour to remember all babies that have died too soon.

To join our virtual Wave of Light, take a photo of your candle and post it to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #WaveOfLight at 7pm local time or join our Facebook Event to watch the livestream.

Wherever you do this, you will be joining a global ‘Wave of Light’ in memory of all the babies who lit up our lives for such a short time.

What to expect

Part 1 – Meet ‘The Everything’ 👾

Ever felt an over-abundance of thoughts and ideas, coupled with high energy and overwhelming creative urges? That’s what we call ‘The Everything’. It means you’re in a highly creative state, but planning and prioritization is hard.

In part one, we’ll explore ‘The Everything’ together.

Part 2 – The antidote to overwhelm 🧪

In part 2, we’ll explore some power-ups. Our ADHD coach will talk you through some of the tools that work for their actual clients – power-ups that you can call upon whenever you need to dissipate energy or slow down overthinking.

You’ll also share with and gather tools from the community: what are the tools you use to tame ‘The Everything’?

Part 3 – Hugs and hacks with the community 🗯

This workshop isn’t about us, it’s about YOU! So get ready to hear the personal experiences of fellow neurodivergent workers – their challenges and how they overcome them.

There will be plenty of time to share your experiences too, but only if you’re comfortable doing so. This is a pressure-free zone! It’s not about defeating this formidable-level boss! It’s about making it your friend.
