LGBT+ HISTORY MONTH

February marks LGBT+ History Month – a month long observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and non-binary history, including the history of LGBT+ rights and related civil rights movements.

LGBT+ History Month is intended as a means to raise awareness of, and combat prejudice against the LGBT+ community while celebrating its achievement and diversity and making it more visible.

At WeAreTheCity, we believe in equality for all and will continue to help increase representation of the LGBT+ community and share a variety of voices and opinions – and never has it been more important.

Below you will find interviews with some amazing individuals; events and networking groups across a variety of industries; and resources designed to educate and understand.

Over the month and beyond, we will also be showcasing events, covering news and continuing to shine a spotlight on issues of sexuality, equality and diversity.
